It Takes Community to Make a Worship Service

It takes a church community to design and deliver a new worship service, and Saint Andrew Presbyterian Church is just the one to do it like no other!  St. Andrew will chart a new path in the journey to help its members and friends grow to know God better with the addition of an alternative worship service.

The components of this new service will have everything you’ve come to love and expect from the Sunday morning service here at St. Andrew, just packaged in a different way. It will be a casual, relaxed atmosphere, open to seeing and hearing the Gospel in a fresh way through different styles of music each week like folk, rock, blue grass and gospel. Mini-dramas and skits, as well as a weekly sermon which we all know and love from our traditional service, will be part of the Saturday service, too.

If you have a special gift or interest that you think could help make the Saturday Evening Service come to life and bring meaning to others, such as playing the drums, guitar, piano or any other musical instrument, let us know about it. If you like the dramatic arts, or maybe you just enjoy reading aloud to others or consider yourself a pretty  a good storyteller, we’d like to hear from you, too.  There’s room for everyone and everyone’s own special gifts at this service. The excitement over this alternative service to Sunday is growing.  There is new energy at every planning meeting, and the ideas and creative juices just keep flowing from those who are helping to make this service happen. There is a need for a data projector to use in conjunction with a laptop computer & projector screen during this service.
