The Deacons reach out to members of the congregation helping them to know each other. They provide greeters at both doors prior to worship services to welcome members and visitors alike to help them feel an important part of our fellowship; and by being present after the service with the pastor(s). The Deacons have instituted a caring program in which each deacon has a list of member families for whom he/she is aware of their joys, sorrows, needs – keeping them in prayer during the year and adding new members when they join. They provide contact to all members attending college and living outside the immediate vicinity and they provide a series of special events throughout the year that promote fellowship among the members.
