The Reverend Dr. David Milam

Pastor David Milam Dr. David Milam

Dave is our Pastor. He has a B.A. degree from San Diego State University (where he met his wife, Bonnie) and an M.A. from Wheaton College Graduate School in Christian Theology.  His Master of Divinity degree (1985) is from Princeton Theological Seminary with a concentration in Preaching.  He also has a Doctor of Ministry degree (1999) from San Francisco Theological Seminary.  Dave and Bonnie live in Purcellville. Their son  Andrew  and his wife Carissa live in Austin, Texas. Their son Scott  and daughter Karen both attend the University of Michigan.

A few words from our new Pastor:

"I am wonderful grateful about being here at St. Andrew and in Purcellville. In former ministries I have been active in our community, even having a radio call-in talk show where I became known as a "rappin rev". I came here from Macomb, Michigan where I had the privilege of organizing a new Presbyterian congregation and to be its first pastor. Bonnie is teaching 7th grade language arts at Eagle Ridge Middle School in Ashburn. I like reading, hiking, swimming, softball, basketball, cycling and golf. We love our children to bits and are somewhat rabid University of Michigan sports fans because of their studies there. I enjoy playing the guitar, but really enjoy listening to those who play it well. I hail from San Diego, California where I used to surf and find that I am strongly aware of God's presence in nature, even as I see the revelation of God happening where Jesus lives among us, as happens in congregations. I have found myself to be an immediate fan of the Nationals, Redskins and Wizards, although I still like the Dee-troit Pistons and Red Wings, as well as my hometown Padres and Chargers. It is invigorating to live in a place with vibrant echoes of American history. I am soaking it in."
